2025-2026 New Special Education Teacher Academy |September 16, 2025 - October 14, 2025
This multi-session training is designed for New Special Education Teachers. In addition to the information provided about the Special Education Process, Writing Quality IEP’s and Progress Monitoring, explore struggles new teachers often face and share helpful resources. Compliance to the Missouri State Plan and the Standards and Indicators will be stressed.
Attendance is required at all three sessions:

Dr. Nicole Conaway serves our member districts by developing staff capacity with behavior management strategies, data collection and interventions. She has thirty years of experience in education as a special education teacher, special education coordinator, climate\culture coordinator, assistant principal and principal. She has 15 years of experience serving as a school administrator in a high-risk, low-income district. Dr. Conaway is passionate about working with schools to ensure all students receive what they need as individuals to succeed in the classroom and beyond, because fair doesn’t always mean equal.

If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather or low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.
No-shows will be billed in full.
