AI in Action: Empowering Educators, Preparing Students | Starts October 12, 2026 | 8:30 - 3:30

AI is already part of our daily lives, powering everything from voice-activated assistants and smartphone facial recognition to autonomous vehicles. As this technology continues to evolve, educators have a unique opportunity to help students understand, navigate and use AI thoughtfully and responsibly. But first, educators need the confidence and practical skills to do so.
This hands-on, two-day professional learning experience is designed to help educators build AI literacy while exploring meaningful classroom applications. Develop an understanding of how generative AI works, learn practical strategies for using AI to support planning, differentiation, feedback, and assessment, and create classroom-ready resources tailored to your content areas. Between sessions, educators will have the opportunity to apply their learning in practice and reflect on their experiences with colleagues.
The second session shifts focus to students, exploring age-appropriate AI literacy, ethical and responsible use, and ways to support student creativity, inquiry and project-based learning with emerging AI tools. Throughout the series, the emphasis is on transferable skills and instructional practices rather than any single platform, helping educators make informed decisions as technologies continue to evolve.
Join us to explore how AI can enhance teaching and learning, streamline educator workflows and prepare students to thrive in an AI-powered world.
Two sessions:
Monday, October 12, 2026
Monday, December 14, 2026
