CPI Certification Upgrade: Advanced Physical Skills | June 18, 2025 | 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
If you hold a valid CPI Blue card and are looking for something that offer more variety and a deeper set of skill, then upgrading to Nonviolent Crisis Intervention(CPI) with Advanced Physical Skills (APS) is the way to go. CPI with APS equips you with the decision-making skills needed to confidently assess and address risk in the face of complex behaviors. This upgrade combines verbal interventions strategies, disengagements, holds, and restrictive interventions with advanced physical skills for high-risk scenarios.
NOTE: Attendees of CPI upgrade to include APS must have taken the CPI initial training or CPI refresher within the last 6 months. Attendees will be required to show a current CPI Blue Card at the time of training. Upgrading to include APS will not extend the time of your current certification. Your new certificate will still expire on your current timeline, at which time, a refresher will be required to continue to hold your card active.
Completion of this training provides attendees with CPI with APS Certification. This upgraded certification will expire on your original Blue card expiration date.
Please note: Only educators and staff from EducationPlus member districts are eligible to attend this session. If you are not employed by an EducationPlus member district, please contact CPI for information on available training.
