CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Refresher | April 24, 2024 | 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM CT
CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention is considered the worldwide standard for crisis prevention and intervention training. With a core philosophy that provides for the care and safety of everyone involved in a crisis situation, the program’s proven strategies provide the skills to safely and effectively respond to anxious, hostile or violent behavior while balancing the responsibilities of care.
CPI refresher trainings must be taken within 13 months of initial certification or previous refresher training. Refresher attendees will be required to show current CPI Blue Card at the time of training. Participation includes a review of curriculum, holding skills and restraints and a post-test.
Bruce Hunter is a certified Master Level CPI Nonviolent Intervention® trainer, the highest level offered by the Crisis Prevention Institute and has trained over 2,500 educators in the St. Louis area. As a school administrator for 21 years, Bruce had many opportunities to help de-escalate students in volatile situations. He is passionate about helping staff members and students remain safe during escalating situations. In addition to facilitating Nonviolent Crisis Intervention trainings, Bruce provides customized professional development to area school districts on the topic of de-escalation.

Cancellations made 10 business days or less are not eligible for a refund.
If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather or low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.
No-shows will be billed in full.
