Cognitive Coaching is a process through which educators explore the thinking behind their practices. The ultimate goal is to self-monitor, self-analyze and self-evaluate.

If you are looking for an alternative to external evaluation, participants will learn how to:

  • Develop trust and rapport
  • Utilize conversation structures for planning, reflecting and problem solving
  • Develop teacher autonomy and sense of community
  • Develop higher levels of efficacy, consciousness, craftsmanship, flexibility and interdependence
  • Utilize the coaching tools of pausing, paraphrasing and posing questions

Use data to mediate thinking
