Cognitive Coaching Refresher | April 14, 2027 | 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Cognitive Coaching is a model for supporting thinking that requires the user to practice the skills in order to integrate it into daily use. Coaches must be skillful with coaching tools in order to effectively mediate thinking and remain in the coaching support function. This session is an opportunity for those who have had the Foundations of Cognitive Coaching training to revisit the content and practice the skills.
In this Cognitive Coaching Refresher, participants will have an opportunity to:
• self-assess their current skill level
• review and internalize conversation maps for planning, reflecting and problem-resolving
• reconnect with how the States of Mind are resources for supporting and shifting thinking for self-directed learning
• review and practice the coaching tools of rapport, pausing, paraphrasing and posing questions
• consider how to use data as a catalyst for making meaning and improving practice
