Engagement and Discovery Education-PM Session | January 29, 2025 | 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM CT
This session opens with the First Thought SOS as an activator in order to engage learners around the topic of the session: Engagement. After level setting the definition of engagement, explore how SOS promotes engagement and learn how to layer learning experiences to vary implementation in the classroom. Attendees will be provided time for independent exploration.
Janice has spent the last 15 years in classrooms in Canada, USA and South Africa. She is licensed in four high school subject areas - Mathematics, Social Studies, Physical Education and Health. For the last five years, she has concentrated on curriculum development and implementation of Global Citizenship, Digital Citizenship and integration of Service Learning school-wide. Janice also has a strong working knowledge of the International Baccalaureate program. Janice joined the Discovery Education Professional Development team in 2016.
