This conference is for administrators who are interested in learning more about the important topic of instructional leadership. This conference is for administrators who are interested in learning more about the important topic of instructional leadership.

 
The conference is based on a framework that:
• Keeps student learning at the core
• Includes a deep understanding of quality curriculum, instruction and assessment
• Creates a sustained positive learning environment that meets the needs of all students
• Includes a feedback and coaching environment that will attract develop and retain teachers

Participants will be able to delve deep into a specific theme of instructional leadership and will be provided time to apply new learnings. 

Attendees will gain new perspectives, renewed motivation and a playbook for the upcoming school year for positive outcomes and growth. Registering as a team is encouraged.

Peter DeWitt is a former teacher and principal who focuses on leadership, coaching and fostering inclusive school climates. His work has been adopted at the university, state and national level and he works with numerous districts, ministries of education, school boards and regional and state organizations. Peter is author of several books, appeared in education journals at the state, national and international level and has presented at state, national and international conferences.

Anthony Muhammad, Ed.D., serves as CEO of New Frontier 21 Consulting and served as a middle school teacher, assistant principal, middle school principal and high school principal. His tenure as a practitioner earned him several awards as both a teacher and a principal. Anthony is recognized as one of the field’s leading experts in the areas of school culture and Professional Learning Communities at Work (PLC). He is the author of several books and has published numerous articles in education journals and publications.

Gholnecsar (Gholdy) Muhammad, Ph.D, is an Associate Professor of Literacy, Language and Culture at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She served as a school district curriculum director responsible for K-12 literacy instruction, assessments and professional development, and as a reading, language arts and social studies middle school teacher. Gholdy works with teachers and young people across the United States and South Africa on best practices in equity, anti-racism and culturally and historically responsive instruction. She is an author and her research interests at the University are situated in the historical foundations of literacy development and the writing practices among Black communities.
