LETRS: The Science of Reading Volume 2 Cohort 9 | July 8, 2024 - July 23, 2024 | 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM CT
This is a site-based PD for Ferguson-Florissant R-II School District staff only.
LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) Volume 2 units address each essential component of reading instruction and the foundational concepts that link each component. Units 5-8 focus specifically on oral language and vocabulary, understanding reading comprehension, text-driven comprehension instruction and the reading-writing connection.
Completion of LETRS Volume 1 (Units 1 - 4) is a prerequisite for Volume 2.
LETRS materials include a text and online modules. Participants will receive the materials from: 1) a DESE shipment to the district; 2) EdPlus at the first session; or 3) the district purchase from Lexia.
Attendance is required at all four sessions:
Unit 5: Monday, July 8, 2024
Unit 6: Tuesday, July 9, 2024
Unit 7: Monday, July 22, 2024
Unit 8: Tuesday, July 23, 2024
Stephanie Tuck serves all our member districts by providing comprehensive literacy training, coaching and support. She has more than 13 years’ experience in education as an Instructional Coach and a teacher in all grades from 3rd to 8th. Stephanie is passionate about supporting teachers and teaching teams as a way of serving students. A healthy, happy, well supported teacher is a more powerful teacher.

If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather or low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.
No-shows will be billed in full.
