This three-day series provides deep knowledge of literacy instruction for the youngest learners. The more children know about language and literacy before they begin kindergarten and first grade, the better equipped they are to succeed in literacy learning and beyond.

LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) for Early Childhood will:
*define early literacy and language, the processes involved and how they develop
*explore engaging and developmentally appropriate ways to effectively teach early literacy skills *discuss how to assess and use data to plan instruction.

LETRS materials include a text and online modules. Participants will receive the materials from: 1) a DESE shipment to the district; 2) EdPlus at the first session; or 3) the district purchase from Lexia.

Per Lexia and state directives, all LETRS for Early Childhood participants must attend a mandatory one-hour virtual Launch on May 19, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. More details will be emailed once your registration has been processed.

Attendance is required at all three sessions.
