LETRS for Early Childhood Educators Cohort 4 | January 14, 2025 - April 17, 2025 | 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM CT
This three-day series is designed to deepen your understanding of the what, why and how of early literacy and language development, including assessment and instruction strategies. LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) provides the “science of reading” application of research into the classroom no matter the curriculum or program used.
LETRS materials include a text and online modules. Participants will receive the materials from: 1) a DESE shipment to the district; 2) EdPlus at the first session; or 3) the district purchase from Lexia.
Attendance is required at all three sessions:
Unit 1: Tuesday, January 14, 2025
Unit 2: Thursday, February 27, 2025
Unit 3: Thursday, April 17, 2025
Jessica Hall serves all our member districts by providing comprehensive literacy training, coaching and support. She has a MS in Reading and more than 10 years of experience in early childhood education. Jessica is passionate about literacy in general, and early literacy in particular. Literacy is the key to ensuring our students can break generational cycles of poverty and trauma, and to set them up for success as students and as members of society.

If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather or low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.
No-shows will be billed in full.
