This three-part administrator series introduces leaders to the foundations of competency-based learning and the systems needed to support it. Through collaboration, reflection and real-world examples, explore the 8 elements of CBL and consider how to create more student-centered, equitable and engaging learning experiences in your schools. The optional third session includes a full-day school visit to observe competency-based learning in practice.

Dr. Erin Lawson serves all of our member districts by developing tailored learning opportunities and professional development programs. Erin has 18 years of education experience in a variety of roles including 6th-grade teacher, district technology coach and Director of Professional and Program Development. Erin is deeply passionate about creating relevant and engaging professional learning opportunities for educators.

Tanya Garcia serves our member districts by developing tailored learning opportunities and professional development programs and providing professional development support to new teachers. Throughout her 17+ years in education, Tanya has served in various roles including elementary teacher and building instructional coach. She has also served on district and state committees in the areas of curriculum writing, district leadership teams and technology. Tanya is passionate about the coaching process and believes that the act of coaching and meeting educators where they are, while guiding them in future steps, is the basis for growth in adults and students alike.

Cancellations made more than 10 business days before the event start date will incur a 20% cancellation fee.

Cancellations made 10 business days or less are not eligible for a refund.

If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather or low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.

No-shows will be billed in full.

The cancellation policy applies to all forms of payment including Learning Service Credits.
