MTDS: BTAP Year 2 Cohort 6 | Starts October 12, 2026 | 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Beginning Teacher Assistance Program (BTAP) Year 2 is designed to support the continued growth of teachers who have completed BTAP Year 1. As part of the Missouri Teacher Development System, this program is open to teachers who have completed BTAP Year 1 in Missouri and meets the state's certification requirements for the second year.
Through this MTDS competency-based opportunity, participants engage in on-demand learning aligned with Mike Rutherford's MTDS series, receive support from experienced consultants, and network with fellow educators. The program focuses on designing differentiated lessons, using student progress monitoring to guide instruction, and collaborating within a community of practice.
Continue your journey as an emerging teacher and build on the success of your first year.
Attendance is required at all four sessions:
Session 1: Monday, October 12, 2026
Session 2: Wednesday, December 9, 2026
Session 3: Friday, February 12, 2027
Session 4: Friday, April 23, 2027
Diane Gillaspie serves EdPlus member districts by providing professional development to teachers in the beginning stages of their career to those who are seeking mastery. Diane has spent over 20 years in education, serving as a kindergarten and first grade teacher, instructional coach, director of curriculum and instruction and provided contracted professional development.
She believes that our schools deserve teachers who have a high level of self-efficacy, love what they do and believe in their students. Students today need a culturally sound classroom that understands and respects who they are as individuals and provides an engaging environment that is conducive to their personal learning style. Teachers need continuous support to grow their pedagogy and Diane seeks to be a part of their journey. At the end of the day, every bit of work she is passionate about is for the empowerment and benefit of our students.
