MTDS: BTAP Year 2 Confluence Academies | August 18, 2026 - February 16, 2027 | 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

This is a site-based PD for Confluence Academies staff only.
This series builds on the learning and strategies from BTAP-1 and is designed to provide continued support for teachers early in their careers.
MTDS Beginning Teacher Assistance Program Year 2 is part of the Missouri Teacher Development System and is open to any teacher who has completed the first year of a Beginning Teacher Assistance Program (BTAP1) in Missouri.
MTDS Beginning Teacher Assistance Program Year 2 (BTAP2) meets the second year of Missouri's BTAP certification requirements.
This opportunity provides:
- consultant support
- networking with other teachers
- competency-based programming
Attendance is required at all five sessions.
Session 1: Tuesday, August 18, 2026 | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Session 2: Friday, October 23, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Session 3: Tuesday, November 17, 2026 | 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Session 4: Thursday, January 14, 2027 | 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Session 5: Tuesday, February 16, 2027 | 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Dr. Elizabeth Strain serves our member by providing professional development to teachers in the beginning stages of their career to those who are seeking mastery. She has over 10 years of experience in education as an elementary special education teacher, school support interventionist and administrative intern. Elizabeth is passionate about building relationships with teachers and supporting them to grow their practice to impact students academically, socially and emotionally. She is most excited when she can facilitate the exciting thoughts and strategies educators bring with each other.

Cancellations made more than 10 business days before the event start date will incur a 20% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made 10 business days or less are not eligible for a refund.
If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather or low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.
No-shows will be billed in full.
