This series builds on the learning and strategies from BTAP-1 and is designed to provide continued support for teachers early in their careers. MTDS Beginning Teacher Assistance Program Year 2 is part of the Missouri Teacher Development System and is open to any teacher who has completed the first year of a Beginning Teacher Assistance Program (BTAP1) in Missouri.
MTDS Beginning Teacher Assistance Program Year 2 (BTAP2) meets the second year of Missouri's BTAP certification requirements.
This opportunity provides:

- competency-based programming
Session 1: Wednesday, August 6, 2025
Session 2: Monday, November 17, 2025
Session 3: Monday, February 9, 2026
Session 4: Monday, April 27, 2026
Emily Hilligoss serves our member districts by providing professional development to support new teachers. Emily has been in education for nine years serving as a library clerical aide, secondary ELA teacher, and as a district curriculum and instructional coach. She was a 2022 St. Louis Regional Teacher of the Year and a semi-finalist for the state of Missouri. Emily believes that building relationships both in and out of the classroom is the foundation upon which we grow. She is passionate about supporting and empowering teachers to confidently and effectively help students reach success.

Cancellations made 10 business days or less are not eligible for a refund.
If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather or low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.
No-shows will be billed in full.
