MTDS: BTAP Year 2 Pattonville | September 15, 2026 - February 23, 2027 | 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Beginning Teacher Assistance Program (BTAP) Year 2 is designed to support the continued growth of teachers who have completed BTAP Year 1. This program, part of the Missouri Teacher Development System, is open to any teacher who has completed the first year of a BTAP in Missouri and meets the state's certification requirements for the second year.
This MTDS competency-based opportunity provides on-demand learning aligned with Mike Rutherford's MTDS series, consultant support and networking with other teachers. The program emphasizes lesson design with differentiation to meet unique student needs, planning student progress monitoring and working in a community of practice.
Continue your journey as an emerging teacher and build on the success of your first year.
Attendance is required at all three sessions:
Session 1: Tuesday, September 15, 2026
Session 2: Tuesday, November 10, 2026
Session 3: Tuesday, February 23, 2027
Diane Gillaspie serves EdPlus member districts by providing professional development to teachers in the beginning stages of their career to those who are seeking mastery. Diane has spent over 20 years in education, serving as a kindergarten and first grade teacher, instructional coach, director of curriculum and instruction and provided contracted professional development. She believes that our schools deserve teachers who have a high level of self-efficacy, love what they do and believe in their students. Students today need a culturally sound classroom that understands and respects who they are as individuals and provides an engaging environment that is conducive to their personal learning style. Teachers need continuous support to grow their pedagogy and Diane seeks to be a part of their journey. At the end of the day, every bit of work she is passionate about is for the empowerment and benefit of our students.
