Missouri Connections is a free comprehensive, online career development and planning program. Funded by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, this program supports the career development efforts of schools, community organizations and adult job seeker initiatives. This training is best for individuals or groups who have never used Missouri Connections but are interested in learning more.

Missouri Connections provides:

  • interactive career exploration features
  • career awareness of the 6 Career Paths and 16 Career Clusters
  • self-awareness and career assessments
  • tools for creating an Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP)
  • information on post-secondary educational options including institutions, degree/certificate programs, programs of study, financial aid, etc.
  • information on career opportunities including, military, self-employment and green jobs
  • employment process resources including Resume Creator, Job Interviews Preparation and Employment Outlook Data

This session will provide an overview of Missouri Connections and the benefit in preparing students to be college and career ready.

Michelene Carbol serves all our member districts by supporting their comprehensive counseling program and implementing Programs of Study and Individual Career and Academic Plans. She also provides Missouri Post-Secondary Success training to support embedding intra and interpersonal competencies into curriculum. Michelene has over 20 years of experience in education assisting schools and students with career counseling, advising, college and career readiness, school engagement and training. Michelene is passionate about advocating to ensure all students have rich experiences in exploring career options and preparing them for the ever-changing demands of the American workforce.

Cancellations made more than 10 business days before the event start date will incur a 20% cancellation fee.

Cancellations made 10 business days or less are not eligible for a refund.

If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather or low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.

No-shows will be billed in full.

The cancellation policy applies to all forms of payment including Learning Service Credits.
