Practical AI: A Deep Dive for Educators | May 6, 2025 | 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
This interactive workshop will explore how various AI tools can enhance teaching practices. Participants will deepen their understanding of AI's capabilities and limitations, and apply practical strategies for lesson planning, differentiation and student engagement. Through collaborative activities and discussions, educators will draft implementation plans to effectively integrate AI into their classrooms. By the end of the workshop, attendees will be equipped with the tools and insights needed to leverage AI for improved instruction and productivity.
Adam Scimone helps our member districts by developing tailored learning opportunities and professional development programs. Adam began his career as a scientist and in 2008, moved into education as a marine science instructor in the Florida Keys. He later transitioned into a formal classroom setting where he spent time teaching secondary science, overseeing a middle school gifted program and working as an instructional coach. Adam was the 2017 Kirkwood School District Teacher of the Year and a Saint Louis Regional Teacher of the Year. He is passionate about fostering curiosity and wonder in young people.
