QPR Gatekeeper Training | September 16, 2026 | 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM

QPR (Question, Persuade Refer) Gatekeeper Training prepares educators and school staff to recognize warning signs of suicide and respond with confidence. Using the Question, Persuade, Refer model, learn how to start difficult conversations, provide immediate support and connect students or colleagues with professional help. This practical training helps create safer, more supportive school communities.
This is an in-person training that will take 2-hours. Once completed, participants will have a QPR Gatekeeper certification that is valid for 2 years.
John Converse is a restorative practitioner who brings 19 years of educational experience to life in his interactions with others. He has a set of skills that foster belonging and connection through the art of restorative practices. He is a certified trainer with the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA). These skills have helped him navigate the education field and build relationships with staff, students, and community members in all areas. His background includes roles as a classroom teacher and school administrator. He is currently the Director of Restorative Practices at EducationPlus, a non-profit focused on empowering educators throughout Missouri.

If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather or low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.
No-shows will be billed in full.
