Special education attorney Betsey Helfrich and Anne Bradley, former attorney at the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights, will take a deep dive into Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Explore current 504 updates, discuss the status of OCR and the Department of Education, and examine real case examples and scenarios to help refine your practices regarding how to determine 504 eligibility, draft a compliant 504 plan, handle difficult discipline matters and more.
For everyone from 504 coordinators, counselors to building administrators, this training will apply to all District staff who implement or oversee 504.
