Writing Quality IEP’s using MLS | January 26, 2027 | 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Writing a compliant IEP is at the core of providing high quality special education services so that students may access a free and appropriate public education (FAPE).
This workshop will specifically focus on the connection between all parts of the IEP to include the Present Level of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance, goals and objectives, services, placement and accommodations/modifications. Emphasis will be placed on aligning IEP goals with the Missouri Learning Standards.
Cheryl Garbs serves our members by providing guidance and support in meeting IDEA regulations and ensuring compliance with federal and state standards. With 28 years of experience in special education, Cheryl has served as a Special Education Director, Process Coordinator, Diagnostician and Administrator. Passionate about educational excellence and inclusion, Cheryl continues to serve as a resource and leader in special education, dedicated to advancing best practices and building sustainable frameworks that support all learners.

If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather or low enrollment, a full refund will be issued.
No-shows will be billed in full.
