Writing Standards-Based IEPs using Essential Elements | February 13, 2023 | 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM CT
This training takes the participant through the steps involved in “developing a process of planning that improves the development of the IEP and helps the IEP team participants see the importance of connecting instructional goals to the Missouri Learning Standards and Essential Elements (Alternate Standards)”.
Emphasis is placed on aligning IEP goals with the Essential Elements and alternate curriculum including a focus on developing compliant annual goals with short term objectives and/or benchmarks as required for students taking the alternate assessment.

Patti Stenger serves all our member districts with professional development and support around special education needs. Patti has over 37 years of experience as a speech pathologist in both the private and public sector including serving in a variety of roles in schools as both a Service Provider, Educator and Administrator. Patti is passionate about utilizing her education and experience to work with educators and colleagues.
